Adam Lambert on Kris Allen's American Idol Win

"The bottom of the line is that we were such different artists there was no way to directly compete, we were competing with ourselves, and it was up to America. I’m really happy that Kris won; I think he deserves it. Kris won because he’s a great artist, and I am happy to be a runner-up to that. I’m a huge supporter of Kris, he’s my friend, I think he’s immensely talented.

Kris is so talented, such a great musician, such a beautiful voice, and on top of it all he is genuinely a really, really good person with a kind, open heart. He deserves this. And I am not just saying that for TV, I’m not just saying that to be like the runner-up guy. I really feel like he is a good person, and deserves it. And is a great role model and will make great music. I can’t wait to buy his CD."
